Lease for Solar Cell and Battery Plants

At Energy Group, we help landowners convert unused land into profitable energy parks through leases. Through our extensive network of investors and partners, we find the right solutions for both solar and battery systems. By leasing out your land, you can get stable and long-term income, while also contributing to the green transition.

Benefits for landowners

Leasing land to Energy Group comes with several advantages:

  • Guaranteed returns: You will receive a stable and long-term income for the duration of the contract.
  • No costs for the property owner: As a landowner, you are not responsible for any installation or maintenance costs.
  • Operation and service at no cost: We take care of all operations and service, which means you can enjoy the benefits without having to deal with technical aspects.
  • Flexible agreements: Our agreements are adapted to your needs and can be tailored to suit your land and your future plans.
  • Possibility of extension of agreement: At the end of the agreement, there is the possibility of extending the lease if both parties agree.

How it works:

1. Collection of Information We receive potential sites from our partners and networks. When we identify a potential site, we collect all the relevant information needed to assess the potential of the land from an investor’s perspective. This includes everything from mains connections to any existing facilities.

2. Qualification and Cost Assessment Once we have gathered all the information, we will conduct a thorough qualification of the site as well as a cost assessment. Here we take into account factors such as building permits, grid connections and any fees to extend the power.

3. Communicate to Investors
To ensure that you as a landowner get the best payment for your connection, we present the site to about ten serious investors. Whether your land is suitable for a solar park or battery plant, we find the right investors to maximize value.
4. Energy Group’s Role
Our incentive at Energy Group is that investors often buy the hardware required for installation directly from us. This means that we can offer a flexible and cost-effective solution that benefits both you as a landowner and the investors.

Checklist for a ''Site'' (Lease)

When we bring in a site for batteries or solar cells, we use the following template to assess the potential:

Existing photovoltaic system*
○ Is there an already existing solar cell system on the ground?
○ If yes, what is the size in kW/MW?
ANSWER:

2. Power approved by the grid owner*
○ Has the grid owner approved both consumption and production of electricity?
ANSWER:

3. The property’s electricity consumption
○ Is the connection connected to a property with electricity consumption?
○ If yes, how much power is used per year?
○ Are there plans to expand the use of power in the next few years?
(Example: if 500A is available and 350A is used as the maximum today, but
the business may need more power in the future, it may not be appropriate
to lease out the power.)
ANSWER:

4. Last year’s power peak
○ How much power (in number of amps) was used the most last year?
(This can be requested from the network owner as historical data.)
ANSWER:

5. Connection fee
○ Is there an already existing connection or is a fee required to expand to
the desired power?
ANSWER:

6. Building permit
○ Has the local environment and building committee approved the placement of
the battery plant?
ANSWER:

7. Distance between battery storage and connection point
○ How far is it between the potential location of batteries and
the connection point?
ANSWER:
